AIR OVER FIRE, 2012.
Video

This video is of an art installation I created in 2012. It was on exhibition from October 29 to November 2 at the Little Gallery, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The suspended origami forms were each folded using one square of hand printed Japanese paper. The shapes are called polyhedra and are believed to have mystical powers. Plato believed the tetrahedron represented fire because of its sharpness and simplicity. The octahedron symbolizes air because it appears to be suspended in space. Both air and fire interact through space and time together.
