As Above, So Below, 2012.
As Above, So Below, 2012 is a performance and installation that I executed in The Little Gallery, Calgary, Alberta, Canada from May 28 to June 1, 2012. Each day, I would add greens lentils to the emerging radial form while sitting on meditation cushions. Throughout the day, I would talk with visitors about my process.
Every lentil is interconnected in its position and relationship to all of the others. The intention of placing one lentil at a time is an act of meditation, patience and love. Also, the sound that filled the gallery was engineered with healing harmonics. My desire was to create a sanctuary for the viewer.
